Growing up in Sonora, México, we learned the art of culinary traditions passed down through generations. Our family gatherings were filled with laughter and the aroma of homemade tortillas and savory dishes. When we emigrated to Tucson, we brought these cherished recipes and traditions with us, and now settled in the DMV we are eager to share a taste of our culture with our new community.
For us, CAJEME Sonoran Taco Bar is a dream come true—a way to honor our roots and create meaningful experiences through food. Working together as siblings brings us joy and strengthens our bond, as we pour our hearts into every dish, every event, and every customer interaction. Meet Our Founding Culinary Team
Welcome to our culinary world! We are Chefs Blanca and Sandra, a dynamic duo of sisters, hailing from the vibrant city of Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, where our passion for food was ignited at a young age. Growing up in a household filled with the aromas of traditional Sonoran cuisine, we developed a deep appreciation for the rich flavors and vibrant culinary heritage of our region.
Although our roots lie in México, we spent the majority of our lives in the diverse culinary landscape of Tucson, Arizona. Surrounded by a melting pot of flavors and influences, we honed our skills and expanded our culinary horizons, blending traditional Sonoran recipes with modern twists and local ingredients.
Now, with over 40 years of combined experience across the hospitality industry, we are thrilled to embark on a new chapter in our culinary journey as we join forces with our brother in Maryland to bring the taste of Sonora to the National Capital Region. Together, we are on a mission to share the authentic flavors of our heritage through our Sonoran-style catering company.
